Fatherhood Blogs of the Week – February 15 – 21, 2009

by Andy Warner on February 23, 2009

Humor was definitely the theme of the blogs this week.  From a manipulative “Underdog” father to “photography” father to “economic” father to “networking” fathers, this week definitely had it all.

The notable blogs for me this week were definitely light and reassuring.  They reminded me that fatherhood does not have to be stressful.  Yes, fathers, we do need to be leaders and compassionate, but we should not let the stress of life dictate how we interact with our children.  There are plenty of stories throughout society of terrible fathers.  Remember to be the light in your child’s eye, to be the chuckle behind their laugh and be the big teddy bear they long to run to.

The Underdog Victorious: One of the joys of fatherhood

The Underdog is convinced he capitalizes on the naivete of his children.  However, I think it is his children who get the last laugh.

Following the Faiva’s: Fatherhood in Action

Ladies, be careful going out at night doing ‘Mommy Things’… there is no telling what you will return to.  Well done, Randall!

Start Driving Less | Fathers 4 Fathers

A fuel economy piece written here.  Keeps us all mindful of the current, challenging economic situation we all face, fathers, dads, men, women and families.

A life in fatherhood: By Johnny Liu

Fatherhood Fridays – Week 1

Definitely an interesting concept developed by the folks at Dad Blogs.  The concept is that fathers will weekly post a link to Dad Blogs and members of Dad Blogs will reciprocate.  A very good idea from a business standpoint and hopefully this will grow into a very encouraging weekly event–fathers helping fathers.

Hey Andy you forgot to mention mine http://www.straightdopedad.com/

I’m sure it’s just an oversight ;)

Have to agree with the humor part though. Aren’t almost all dad blog humorous at least in part?
